Description
Zovirax Tablets are indicated for the treatment of herpes simplex virus infections of the skin and mucous membranes including initial and recurrent genital herpes.
Zovirax Tablets are indicated for the suppression (prevention of recurrences) of recurrent herpes simplex infections in immunocompetent patients.
Zovirax Tablets are indicated for the prophylaxis of herpes simplex infections in immunocompromised patients.
Zovirax Tablets are indicated for the treatment of varicella (chickenpox) and herpes zoster (shingles) infections.
Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. TAKE THIS MEDICINE with food or milk if it upsets your stomach. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature, away from light and moisture.
TO CLEAR UP YOUR INFECTION COMPLETELY, continue taking this medicine for the full course of treatment even if you feel better in a few days.
Do not miss any doses. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
IF YOUR SYMPTOMS DO NOT IMPROVE WITHIN A FEW DAYS or if they become worse, check with your doctor.
IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. If you are or may be pregnant, check with your doctor for instructions on using this medicine during pregnancy.

Dear Customer Service: I have been meaning to email you about this product. Zovirax worked extremely well for me! I have to say that I was amazed at the results from using your product.
In May of 2004, I began developing what at first seemed to be an ugly rash on my chin by the right side of my mouth, but it didn't go away and it almost appeared acne-like. I tried acne medicine that was purchased OTC, but nothing worked. Basically, I could get this condition to subside, then almost immediately it would develop on the opposite side of my mouth/chin. It was extremely frustrating. Then I happened upon your information on Zovirax on the internet. I was desperate to try anything, so I purchased it.
I must tell you that I began using your product last September, 2004, and by the end of the year my condition was entirely cleared up and (knock on wood) I haven't had any recurrence of this. This could be entirely coincidental, but I don't think so. I am going to be 44 years old in October, so for me to have this kind of persistent skin condition at this age was extremely frustrating.
I have used up almost everything I had of my supply of Zovirex, so I will probably buy another bottle at some point.

Your product really works! I ordered your product about 8 months ago and I have not had any outbreaks since! Thank you so much for delivering this product! I was diagnosed with genital herpes 8 months ago. I caught it from my husbands cold sores on his lips not knowing it would spread to me. We have been married for 9 years and I was devastated! But, now since I have used your product there has been no outbreaks. Thank you again for this wonderful product! PS My husband even used it on his lips and he has not seen one blister outbreak since he used your wonderful product and he has had cold sores on his lips since he was a child.
Zovirax tablets are contra-indicated in patients known to be hypersensitive to aciclovir or valaciclovir.

Zovirax tablets are contra-indicated in patients known to be hypersensitive to aciclovir or valaciclovir.
Hydration status: Care should be taken to maintain adequate hydration in patients receiving higher dose oral regimens e.g. for the treatment of herpes zoster infection (4g daily), in order to avoid the risk of possible renal toxicity.
The results of a wide range of mutagenicity tests in vitro and in vivo indicate that aciclovir is unlikely to pose a genetic risk to man. Aciclovir was not found to be carcinogenic in long term studies in the rat and the mouse. Largely reversible adverse effects on spermatogenesis in association with overall toxicity in rats and dogs have been reported only at doses of aciclovir greatly in excess of those employed therapeutically. Two generation studies in mice did not reveal any effect of aciclovir on fertility. There is no experience of the effect of Zovirax double strength suspension on human female fertility. Zovirax double strength suspension has been shown to have no definite effect upon sperm count, morphology or motility in man.
The data currently available from clinical studies is not sufficient to conclude that treatment with Zovirax reduces the incidence of chickenpox-associated complications in immunocompetent patients.
