Trecator SC (generic name: ethionamide) belongs to a group of medicines known as antitubercular agents.
Trecator SC is used for the treatment of tuberculosis and other mycobacterial diseases, usually in combination with other antituberculosis medicines.

The usual initial dosage for adults is 250 mg daily for 1-2 days, then the dosage may be gradually increased up to 750 mg daily.
Precautions
