Lovaza
Description
Lovaza (generic name: omega-3 fatty acid) belongs to a group of medicines known as lipid-regulating agents.
Lovaza is FDA-approved for the treatment of high triglycerides levels in adults.
Lovaza is made from a natural ingredient: omega-3 fish oil. It is the first and only omega-3 medication approved by the FDA.
Lovaza has an excellent safety profile and is well tolerated.
Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Lovaza exactly as directed.
The usual dosage is four 1-gram capsules of Lovaza every day.
You may take all four capsules at the same time, or take two capsules two times a day.
Try to take Lovaza at the same time(s) each day. Do not take more than four 1-gram capsules of Lovaza each day.
Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Lovaza, if:
you are allergic to any medicines or fish oils;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
