Elidel Cream
Description
Elidel Cream (generic name: pimecrolimus) is a topical immunomodulating agent.
Elidel is used in the treatment of atopic dermatitis (eczema).
Elidel can be used to treat repeated episodes of eczema. Treatment is started as soon as the first symptoms of eczema appear, to prevent these from progressing to more severe symptoms.
Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take your medicine exactly as directed.
The cream is usually applied to the affected area twice daily.
Precautions
Tell your doctor before using Elidel, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you currently have any skin infection such as shingles or warts, or herpes;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
